Featuring 5 different Japanese baths, traditional foods and 2 saunas, Jomon no Yado Manten is just 200 metres from Yakushima Airport and a 45-minute drive from the Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. The cosy, family feel of the place made my stay in Yakushima. The lady running the place was so nice and she prepared Onigiri for guests who had planned hikes on the island, which was really convenient. She also plans your sightseeing with you if you want, as she knows the bus schedules and the different things to see quite well. Met some really nice people at the guest house and shared an amazing hot pot on the last night. Tomarigi made my stay in Yakushima. Also, theres a supermarket about 5 minutes away by foot, which was really convenient.

We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer!

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. The cottage is very comfy and you have all needed things around you. The owner was more than helpful and really friendly. He supported us in every way and helped making the stay a great memory.

She encourages guests to be respectful of each other due to some waking up very early for hikes, so the accommodation is warm and welcoming but also peaceful. It is clean and has everything you need.
