The owners are lovely - I wish I would've booked two nights instead of just one!

The place has everything you need for a short stay and a short drive from Hobbiton and the Blue Springs.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. spacious room with clean bath and comfortable bed. staff was helpful and check in and out was done in a breezes heat blanket was super nice for us because the nights became colder.
