Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The area was a little scary to walk - although nothing happened but we were uncomfortable to walk especially late at night Strippers standing at the corners and guys that didn’t give good vibes Closer to the lake was better atmosphere and area Everything got better as we entered the hotel lobby though- very safe, calm and comfortable stay inside
I loved how it was in the city and we could walk everywhere including the lake area and the train station The hotel was very cute boutique style It’s very clean and quiet with friendly staff Service was quick too

The extra 'deposit ' taken from my account on arrival and not reimbursed until days later (hopefully). Not necessary and I don't know of any other brand who still does this.
The staff at reception are brilliant. The room extremely comfortable. I was very impressed with all of it.

Perfect location , train station 4/5 m walk distance , a lot of bars / cafes on same street and / or around corner , table dance Bar just across the street ,,, super professional reception ready to help and assist in every possible way , walk distance to many great places / restaurants in the area . Bus station 5-6 min walk - with selection of tours to France Alp towns etc.. Mega convenient location for both Business and pleasure .

The hotel itself is ok, the neighborhood was a bit strange but this doesn't matter the hotel.
Nice, clean, only the location became a question mark regarding the stores around including the striptease right in front.

My room was pretty small and cramped, i.e. there was really no good spot to open a suitcase. Maybe rethink the room layout. Also, this is not the hotels fault, but the area around the train station is pretty sketchy.
Friendly staff, nice amenities in the room. Very close to the central train station (less than 7min on foot). Breakfast had several options, including eggs, sausages and pastries. Bonus: breakfast started early even on weekends!;

Breakfast was simple, few options to choose from. Definitely needs some improvement, e.g. a better coffee machine (with cappuccino and other options of coffee and not a simple Nespresso machine).
What I liked the most about the hotel was the politeness of the staff and the location.

The staff are very nice. There was an electricity outage in our room and they helped us change into a new room. Breakfast looks simple, but they offer very good quality food choices like cut/sliced kiwis, strawberries and mangos.

The young lady that greeted me at the reception was very unhelpful + had no clue about the data protection form as well as the fact that I had to wait 45 min for the check in and it was at 3 PM. But the manager came and resolved the issue rapidly, which is highly appreciated!
Location, close to the Train station AND quote central to everything. By the way the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel is amazing!

Carpet had multiple stains..
Very accommodating, allowed early check-in, brought up an ironing board when I asked. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Apart from the carpet, the rest of the room was clean including the bathroom

Hotel D offers a prime location close to the railway station and the lake and at the same time a quiet retreat from city life. Surrounded by many restaurants which are all within easy walking distance. The friendliness of the staff adds to the charm, while the cosy rooms and delicious breakfast round off the perfect stay.

The lighting system is very sophisticated which meant lots of button pressing and experimentation to switch on toilet light in the dark
Really helpful staff and a modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel. Good sized room and shower room with separate toilet. Slept soundly after strolling around Geneva. Very close to lake and old town

Was a small coffee maker with 2 small coffee pods, but no indication what the pods were. No kettle in the room. Would have liked a kettle
