From the moment I booked the team at Merchants Yard went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Nothing was a problem for them, organising flowers as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, booking a table for dinner, offering advice on things to do near by and much much more. On check in the team were brilliant, friendly welcome and a complimentary drink (thank you). Throughout our stay the team were amazing, always happy and made sure we had everything we needed. The friendly staff, both breakfast & dinner was delicious, accommodation was clean & comfortable. The owners went out of their way to make you fell at home. We were lucky to have snow which made it more special.

This is a lovely inn in the most beautiful village. We had dinner in the pub - it was great (well, not London great, but definitely north-England great) We had breakfast - it was generous and very good. Room was elegant, the bed comfy, the shower clean and spacious. Staff is just lovely - helped us with the parking & luggage and provided very attentive service. Will definitely come back if in the area again.

I had an amazing stay at Rock Mill Retreat in the Peak District. The attention to detail was spot on—luxurious British Wool bedding, a fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials, including a coffee machine, and underfloor heating in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. The red light therapy room was a real bonus and really helped with my knee. We also made great use of the BBQ downstairs, grilling some incredible local farm steaks.
