The room was as expected. A great four poster bed with a large bath which had power jets. Don't know how good the wifi was as we used our own dongle/mi-fi. Lovely clean spacious room with coffee and tea made available. Hot water within the bathroom was always of a good temperature (unlike many other hotels we've used in the past) . A cooked scottish breakfast was included and was cooked to order (great haggis). Also the option of having a cold buffet breakfast with pastries etc. The staff were great, welcoming and always with a smile. Thanks to everyone who made our short stay so perfect.... had it not been for a prior engagement we would have stayed a third night.

Built in the late 1870s, this imposing Victorian building is set in 3 acres of picturesque countryside only 5 minutes from the town centre of historic Tain.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Quiet location, beautiful old mansion. Highly recommend Mansfield and would certainly stay there again.

Historic castle with Scottish hospitality. warm and welcoming. Jamie provided excellent whiskey advice on what to see around Dornoch. Amazing breakfast.

Extremely well-furnished room with lots of beautiful decorative touches in a tucked-away spot. Our host was friendly and accommodating of our late check-in time. An extensive breakfast menu to choose from prepared with care.

Beautiful cottage in amazing surroundings. We could not ask for more, the cottage had everything and more. Lorna and Jim the owners made us very welcome and were so friendly, very approachable if there was a problem. We did not have any problems just the opposite. We are definitely going back.
