I was welcomed at the door and helped upstairs with my bags.! The room was large and comfortable. I loved the tall ceilings and the view! Open and cozy all at once. I was able to choose from multiple items for breakfast. Yum! I hiked the coast of Dunnet Bay, along the cliffs, and though it was wet, it was spectacular! 10 minutes from Bank House.

After a trip of many hours by bus from London through Scotland, to discover the hotel and its fantastic owner was a treat by itself. She was so friendly, helpful and funny that it will definitely be the place we would recommend in Thurso to sleep in. Friends of environment and sustainable development be welcome, as there is a whole guide in the rooms on how the place is trying to keep the world a better place, as well as advice on what to discover around you.

Very modern, comfortable and clean. Great shower temperature and pressure. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They squeezed us in for dinner with no reservation even though it was very busy. Quality of food was excellent at a reasonable price. Parking was plentiful.

The last hotel on the A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbour is the gateway to the Orkney Islands.

Great stay in Thurso, the room was clean and the bathroom very big and comfortable. The water in the shower is very quick to warm up, i didnt expect It to be so efficient. The breakfast was lovely.

Located along the north coast, it’s a great spot for exploring. There’s a very personal touch with this hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, as was the evening meal. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire in the afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of a very tastefully decorated room. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
