We stayed here for a couple of nights (after one night at La Villa in the Battambang centre) and loved our stay here. The place is very beautiful, staff is lovely and very friendly, our room on the top floor overlooking the pool was amazing, and so were the pool and breakfast and lobby areas. There are free bikes provided and we enjoyed bike riding in the countryside nearby and day trips near Battambang area. We were able to have a nice lunch in a lovely shaded green place few metres down the road which was pretty convenient, as there was only breakfast served at the hotel (and that was delicious). We had a great time here.

Pool, food, the staff , all were great. The hotel is not in the centre but you can easily order Grab (only tuk tuks are available in Battambang) and be where you want.

The reception staff upgraded our room without extra charge as I preferred not to be on the ground floor,thank you very much! The room is constructed in Khmer pattern, solid wood and well designed, with a large bathroom The whole hotel architecture is lovely with a beautiful garden and a clean pool. The bar has an extensive drinks list and the cooked breakfast is superb. We also had tasty, freshly made dinner twice and it was delicious,under the moonlight, with a view over the garden. The owner is involved and everything runs smoothly.

Royal Hotel is in the heart of Battambang city, within easy access from various tourist attractions.

The coziest owners we've ever met! Always smiling, always ready to help. Were very eager to make us feel at home. They helped us book our bus tickets to Bangkok, and somehow managed to do it cheaper than any of the travel agencies we talked to on our own. It’s crazy cheap, and the rooms are huge! Everything was spotless and really comfortable. The staff are also amazing, as seems to be the case in all of Cambodia everyone is really friendly and helpful. I thought I’d left my headphones in the room when we checked out and the staff went above and beyond checking the room high and low and even calling me to let me know what was going on. It turns out I’d thrown them in the bottom of my bag in a hurry… but it just shows the kindness of people, I can’t thank them enough for being so helpful! Also, if you want a tour whilst you’re in Battambang then try and find Mr Dara. He’s the best tour guide we’ve had in SE Asia and he usually hangs around in the centre of town and outside the hotel.

The hotel is clean, the breakfast has a large variety of Asian and Western foods, and the staff are super. The location is especially excellent for the appointments I conducted in the city. The pool is large and well-maintained, too.
