We loved our stay at the Mer.Chant. The flawlessly designed hotel is built around an old market place and staff is happy to tell visitors about the history of the place. Everyone was very welcoming, our room was beautiful and the food delicious. We will definitely miss the coconut water and local fruit for breakfast just as much as hopper night on Wednesday!

We had an amazing stay! The host was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. The location was extremely convenient, with easy access to the main road. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of privacy throughout our stay. It was also well-equipped, with clean utensils and everything we needed for a pleasant experience. Overall, it was absolutely worth the price. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return if we visit Galle again.

Everything about this house was amazing! the house, the garden, the pool , the service! Amilani was a great host accommodating all our needs. Breakfast was exceptional, freshly prepared at the house. Pictures don't do this place enough justice. The only thing to consider is that the distance to Galle is about 20-25 minutes.

Superb stay in ideal location..shops all your essentials nearby plus added bonus of beautiful beaches nearby also..big shout for Afkar and Douglas who were always there to help!!! We highly recommend staying here very very peaceful and clean. We loved sitting out on the veranda surrounded by nature listening to the birds, it was very quiet resort. Our room was gorgeous and very comfy bed. The pool is also fantastic. Every morning we had the most delicious breakfast which filled us up for hours. For us the location was great to get to Galle via tuk tuk, also we saw the turtles, local beaches are fab too. We also went to Koggala lake and did a boat safari and feed monkeys, saw cinnamon island. Suresh also took us to the local weavers where you can see traditional methods so interesting. Suresh was the most kindest and genuine of hosts, ensuring we had the most comfortable stay, he arranged tuk tuk for us and took us to the lake - nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed talking to him and learnt much about Sri Lanka. All in all this was such an excellent authentic place with an exceptional host.
