From the moment we arrived at Cape Weligama, our honeymoon became truly unforgettable. The villa we stayed in was incredibly spacious, offering every comfort imaginable, including a luxurious bathroom with its own sauna. The highlight was the stunning infinity Moon Pool, where we could relax while enjoying breathtaking ocean views. The Beach Club with private beach access made our stay even more special, giving us the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation by the sea. The gastronomy was simply outstanding—every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was of the highest quality, comparable to a world-class five-fork restaurant. We are especially grateful to our host, Salman, who was always attentive and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the entire service team, particularly Lahiru, whose warm and impeccable service made us feel at home. The hotel also organized a safari to Yala National Park, taking care of everything from the comfortable transport from the hotel to the park, to arranging our own private jeep and guide once inside. Our guide, Damitha, impressed us with his excellent explanations and deep knowledge of the park, making the experience even more enriching. To make the day even more special, we enjoyed a spectacular lunch at Wild Coast Tented Lodge, another property from the Resplendent group—an experience that exceeded all expectations. We had a magical honeymoon on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, and without a doubt, we will return next year to celebrate our anniversary at this paradise.

The O2 apartments is the place you want to be when you come to Weligama. Everything is brand new and very clean. The rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen what is very hard to find in Sri Lanka. These apartments are build with so much love and you will feel like home. The beds are super comfortable, you can also watch Amazon Prime on the TV and the bathroom has a very nice shower. The tab water is already filtered and drinkable. The location is great. It’s very close to the beach and it’s a also placed in more a quiet area. You can reach the center of Weligama and also Mirissa very quickly. A very nice add on is the big roof top terrace. You have a wonderful ocean view from up here and we also used the terrace every morning for breakfast and Yoga. The owner is also super nice and is always available when you have any questions.

We initially booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 8, since we loved the room so much. The house in a small alleyway, so calm and quiet, yet very close to the beaches, many nice restaurants and the centre of Weligama (10-15 minute walk). The hosting family is very kind and hospitable. Super comfortable bed and lots of storage space to unpack your clothes, nice balcony to have breakfast during sunrise and dry your stuff after surf. Cute cafe next door as well that we recommend!

You feel very well looked after at Namal Stay. The room has all you need, the bed is big and comfy, AC works perfectly, sheets and towels are fresh. You can have dinner on the terrace and it’s very good and 100% local and homemade. Namal offers tuk tuk services and a lot of advice (also tours are possible) and he is a very honest man.
