Granny Smith Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. The host, Erika, was amazingly attentive and even let us come along to help with the cows! The property is very rural, so do expect an interesting drive along the unmade road. Himeville and Underberg (for shopping) are both conveniently nearby.

The experience is private and personal. Host is very welcoming and provided excellent service. Unit is self catering and well equipped, even provided necessary soap tablets for the dishwasher. Has a good variety of board games and even firewood was provided. Fishing for bass in the dam was successful. It is great that the unit is also off the grid and gardens are well maintained. Unit closely situated to nearby towns for additional supplies, and is a short drive to a number of hiking trails.

This tranquil gem of a place was such a beautiful experience. There is so much activities for both kids and adults. Breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing! Everything you need is on the resort, even diesel and petrol right outside the boom! My 8 month old had a ball of a time and the serving staff in the Eagles restaurant showed him so much love, all the time. There was a baby chair for us at each meal which was so convenient. Thank you Gooderson Drakensberg Resort, we will most certainly be back!

The location and the surrounding area absolutely stunning ! The cottage is lovely and has everything you need. The fireplace at night was so cozy. The hosts are such wonderful people, they took the time to show us around the area. They were always available for questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
