Grund was a warm and cozy respite from cold and extremely windy weather. The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

Το Hótel Fransiskus Stykkishólmi, στον προορισμό Stykkisholmur, έχει κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και μπαρ. We got a room with a fantastic view. The breakfast was good and the staff is helpful!

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Breakfast and dinner made this apartment outstanding. It was clean, very comfortable, nice large room, private bathroom, picturesque location under the hills. Cute pair of cats welcomed us :)

We were welcomed by the lovely hotel receptionist Anna, who had such a great positive energy and so kind to also give us extra tips for our travels! In the Peninsula area, it is hard to find a good place to eat, much less to find places open past 6pm, thankfully you got a really good restaurant (Sker Restaurant) only 10 minutes away from the hotel:) Let's talk about the most important meal of the day, BREAKFAST! 10/10. They had all what a breakfast for champions needs: Eggs, Sausage, different sorts of Icelandic yougurt(Skyr), Fruits, Juices, Coffee, and much more;) And you can easily watch the northern lights from the comfort of your room, but if you wanna get even a better view, you just need to drive a couple minutes out Hellissandur (away from the street lights). Located in the country side, Hotel Stundarfridur offers accommodation 12 km from Stykkishólmur. This property provides guests with a terrace. There is also a restaurant and a shared lounge. Very clean, beautiful, quiet, excellent service. Good breakfast

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive. The location is awesome right by the ocean and mountains The Black Church is also in walking distance. The building was very comfortable and the dinners were great. The breakfast was good.
