Grund was a warm and cozy respite from cold and extremely windy weather. The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. We love everything. The room is great with a fantastic view (that we could see the aurora dancing from our window!) The dinner buffet is a must !!!!! The best dinner we had in Iceland :) We will come back.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. A well positioned accommodation ready to enter the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. We could dine at the guesthouse for an excellent evening meal. An excellent breakfast was included. They provided a freshly baked gluten free bread of a high quality.

Located on Snæfellsnes peninsula, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi access. Stykkishólmur town centre is a 25-minute drive away. The room was beautiful and clean. It was very quiet. The location is away from everything but a good starting point to visit the peninsula. The restaurant and the breakfast is awesome.

Adventure Hotel Hellissandur in Hellissandur features 3-star accommodation with a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. Wonderful stay! Very clean and comfortable. The meals were fantastic (dinner and breakfast). This is a great location to get away from the touristy crowd, fantastic auroras! Perfect place to start your trip in the peninsula

Located in the country side, Hotel Stundarfridur offers accommodation 12 km from Stykkishólmur. This property provides guests with a terrace. There is also a restaurant and a shared lounge. Everything was perfect and the staff was so kind! We are very happy to choosed this hotel. Thank you!

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive. The most amazing view I have ever experienced in a hotel. We had a corner room with a view of the sea from 2 sides. It was incredible. Location is spectacular. Very peaceful and extremely remote. The hotel was comfortable, the room was spacious and uniquely oldy -worldy with monogrammed towels and luxurious bathrobes. It wasn’t cheap, but it was well worth it.
