This family-owned B&B is located in Bíldudalur village in Iceland’s West Fjords region. It offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access and mountain or fjord views. This is the NICEST “hostel” properties I’ve ever stayed at in all my travels!! Every detail is perfect! Exquisitely clean, well equipped, laundry, wonderful breakfast, plentiful WC ratio per guest, two kitchenettes, comfy beds, and excellent views!! My only regret is that I could not stay longer!

Located just 1.7 km from Langisandur Beach, Teigur Guesthouse offers accommodation in Akranes with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Comfortable room and well equipped kitchen. The host very kind and let us used the washer and dryer. The best part was we saw northern lights at the light house near the guest house.

Breakfast was great! the Dinner was also great - get the trout! The parrot was cheeky! We had great walks and picked bog bilberries. The natural spa and pool were enjoyable. The staff did our washing for a minimal fee and did a great job.

Grund in Ólafsvík is located in Ólafsvík. The property features sea and mountain views. The apartment also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The house has several good points, including house is quiet and clean, light is bright, location is convenient, shower water is strong enough, having free parking space beside the house, the kitchen supplies are very sufficient and all the cooking supplies are very new, the landlord is very friendly and helpful. Especially, the house has delicate design, there are also have several green potted plants in the room that making us more relaxing.

Hellnafell is situated in Grundarfjordur. The property has lake and river views. The apartment also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. One of my favorite accommodations out of 8 trips to Iceland. Great location with a perfect view of Kirkjufell. Woke to northern lights.

Boasting garden views, Móar Cottage provides accommodation with patio, around 43 km from Hallgrímskirkja Church. The property has mountain and lake views, and is 43 km from The Pearl. Everything was perfect! Complimentary coffee was a great addition to a spectacular morning surrounded by mountains.

Grundarfjordur Bed and Breakfast is located in Grundarfjordur and features a bar. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Free WiFi is available. I loved the room, quite big, the breakfast was really good as well.

Hotel Varmaland features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Varmaland. The hotel provides both free WiFi and free private parking. I came for second time with a group in that hotel. Excellent services, staff (a special apreciation for Daniel), breakfast. Quiet place, clean.

Boasting a shared lounge and a bar, Hótel Fransiskus Stykkishólmi is set in Stykkishólmur. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was clean. The room was very big, more than average,a lot of space for 4 people. The breakfast was very good.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. The dinner buffet is better than we expected. The fish dishes, all the other side-dishes are very delicious. If you got a chance to visit here, dinner is really recommended!
