Located in Yokohama, 4.2 km from Yokohama Marine Tower, Hilton Yokohama provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The detail-oriented nature of this Hilton! We were just so impressed. Everything was not only clean, immaculate, very spacious, but we noticed so many details about how things were done in this Hilton that you just cannot find in any others anymore in North America. One was the manipulation of the bathroom mirror leaving a clear patch for you to see through, even though the whole bathroom is fogged over. Another is the classiness and the delicateness of all the ceramic in the room. We wished that we could purchase it, but we weren't able to sadly. Everything was amazing.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. This is an amazing hotel. I loved the staff and the amenities that are offered with the all you can eat breakfast and dinner. we could use the onsen outside for our feet. As well, you can book a private onsen. Very close to the pirate cruise or ropeway to see Mt Fuji. If you can book ahead, you'll get a great price and value. I felt so relaxed using this hotel.

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. I loved the Fujiya so much that I thought to myself “next time you come to Japan, you’re spending your entire stay there”. This was the first time I was traveling solo, so obviously some blunders were expected—the worst of which was me forgetting my backpack on the bus! I was near tears, because I can’t speak a word of Japanese, but the receptionist at Fujiya quickly helped me call the bus company and located the bag! The concierge then arranged for a taxi to take me to and from the station to retrieve it on the same day. I was honestly amazed at the service and how kind all the staff were. The room itself was stunning. Mine was in the Forest Wing, overlooking the forest side of the hotel (which made for a stunning view to wake up to!). But although the room and en suite bath were absolutely lovely, the star of the show was definitely the Onsen. I tried both the breakfasts (Western and Japanese) at The Main Dining Room and Kikka-So, and the staff in both were so attentive when I informed them I couldn’t have pork or alcohol. It’s always something I’m hesitant to bring up at hotels, but they honestly went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and I couldn’t be more grateful for that! All in all, would give more than 10 stars if I could.
