They helped us arrange a wonderful lake safari and served delicious homemade meals made with fresh local ingredients. The breakfast was simple but full of flavor, and every meal felt special. The location is convenient, just a short ride to the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa and other attractions. Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations. Located within less than 1 km of Gal Viharaya and a 17-minute walk of Polonnaruwa Vatadage in Polonnaruwa, River Nature Park offers accommodation with seating area. Our host Pradeep and his family were excellent hosts. Pradeep especially was very kind and attentive to our needs. He gave us very good advice about visiting Polonnaruwa and brought us rental bicycles, which were the perfect way to see the ancient city. It would be difficult to find an accommodation any closer to the city and, if you are traveling on a budget, this spot provides an outstanding value for the price. Pradeep’s wife cooked us some excellent meals and we found the place to be very well kept. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
