The motel manager accommodated well for our late arrival and organized breakfasts for us for our early departure the following morning. The communication was quick and helpful. The motel rooms are spotless, clean, and well taken care of. Our stay was a pleasant surprise.

Our chalet was so comfortable and spacious. We loved the timber ceiling and big windows overlooking the rocks and gardens. Our cabin was very private and quiet.

We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

Very close to Abel Tasman for hiking and you can contact the management for a ride to the park so you can hike back to the greenie. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable and bathroom very clean (a very nice composting toilet setup they've clearly honed in). The outdoor bathtub is a great treat and has hot water. You're a half hour outside Takaka so bring your provisions for the stay and enjoy the view.

The highlight of our stay was during the night when we were taken out to see the glow worms, weta and freshwater crayfish. It was interesting and exciting. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was good. Heating works well. We explored one of the walking trails within the property which was easy to navigate. We will definitely come back next time.
