Staff went above and beyond - friendly check in, little gifts for our baby, helped us book a taxi, and dinner reservations. We had a very early flight, and they were able to accommodate us with a breakfast to go and bottles of water/coffee. Room was nicely appointed/comfortable and baby crib was set up when we arrived. The pool was warm.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Grounds are beautiful with a banana plantation behind the hotel. Free bananas and free pastries on site. Amazing gourmet breakfast with complimentary mimosa. Amazing and welcoming staff who offered complimentary welcome drinks, upgraded our room to a room with a private courtyard, allowed late check out and it offered an honesty bar. Miguel was wonderful! Comfortable bed. Actual walk up rate can be $500 a night in high season. More than a place to sleep - a cool welcoming experience.

Very new and modern, clean with gym, sauna, jacuzzi, outside pools, workout room, special showers plus an excellent breakfast. Claudio and the reception crew were super friendly and helpful. The staff will clean your room and assist with the clothes washer. Full kitchen and dishwasher. Many of the 14 rooms have gorgeous decks. Ours had two decks ! Elevator, air conditioning and free garage 👍

Situated in Ponta Delgada, 13 km from Pico do Carvao, NINE DOTS Azorean Art Boutique Hotel features accommodation with free bikes, private parking, a garden and a terrace. From the second we arrived the experience at 9 Dors was exceptional. Our flights were changed so we arrived on the island 5 hours earlier than expected. We went to the hotel to ask to leave our bags, which they happily did but went above and beyond (thanks Pedro!) by giving breakfast!! This was so well received as we had missed our breakfast in the previous hotel due to the flight change. All the staff were amazingly helpful, the rooms beautiful and clean. The breakfast was outstanding with many imaginative offerings for vegans. Our departure flight was early so they gave us breakfast in a bag!! The pool area is gorgeous as is the hotel. Would insist on staying here again. Brilliant.

Comfortable beds, well-equipped guesthouses, and a sense of security thanks to entry by code. Convenient parking within the compound. We had a guesthouse with a jacuzzi (some units have it), which we made great use of after long travel days. The staff was caring and friendly. Good location for travelling the island.

Basic amenities still available in the village. Little coffee shop/grocery shop available 2min away. Restaurants 10min drive. We loved the remoteness of the place. Perfect for larger family groups. We arrived late at night and still found someone waiting to greet us. Impressive view points 10/15min away. (My favourite viewpoints in the whole island)
