Welcome to our nature resort, beautifully located just 12 km from the enchanting Tiveden National Park. Nestled right by the lake, the setting was nothing short of idyllic, with serene views that instantly made you feel at peace. One of the highlights of the stay was the wood-oven sauna located right on the shore. The warmth of the sauna, combined with the refreshing lake breeze and the option to plunge into the cool waters after a session, made for a perfect Scandinavian experience. Afterward, lounging in the comfortable chairs and sunbeds by the lake was the perfect way to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with excellent hiking tips for the nearby natural park. The trails were well-marked and offered a variety of landscapes, from dense forests to scenic overlooks. It was the perfect way to explore Sweden's natural beauty. Overall, this resort offers the perfect combination of relaxation, nature, and adventure. If you're looking for a tranquil lakeside escape with authentic Swedish touches, this is the place to be!

A small hotel with comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, and really exceptional service from the staff. (Note, however, that during early afternoon and overnight there is no staff member on site; they can be reached by phone, though.) Hanna especially was super helpful regarding our early arrival, as well as answering questions about Örebro and giving us an excellent restaurant recommendation: Gamla Örebro cafe in the Wadköping open air museum. Although it is next to the train station the double windows keep out all train noise so we slept very well. We also took advantage of the bar offerings in the late afternoon, and enjoyed sitting outside with our drinks at the picnic tables outside the hotel. We had a rental car during our stay and were able to park in one of the hotel’s parking spots in front of the building for a reasonable charge per day. (If you do not have a car, there are plenty of taxis available at the train station and numerous city buses stopping just south of the station.) We highly recommend the hotel and would happily stay there again.

Beautiful surroundings, at a lake. Unexpected number of Dutch and Belgian beers. We had a very nice three course dinner and a great time with our family.
