We were warmly welcomed by the owner, despite the fact that I made a mistake in booking - he was very helpful and flexible and arranged for us 1 day earlier check-in. Staff was friendly, smiling, and providing high quality of service. When I was stung by sea urchin immediate action was taken to help me, and the next day, I was cured. Breakfast was very tasty, with fresh fruits provided to each guest and restaurant offered amazing local food. The room was clean and well equipped, e.g., coffee machine, fridge, safe, etc. Highly recommended!

Featuring a garden and views of city, Light of Zanzibar Hotel is a recently renovated bed and breakfast located in Nungwi, 200 metres from Nungwi Beach. Light of Zanzibar Hotel is located just a 2-5 minutes walk from the stunning Nungwi Beach (depending if you go through the town or straight to the beach). It has everything you might need, comfortable beds, hot water, mosquito nets and AC. There is a fridge outside your room which you share with the two other rooms on your floor to keep your water nice and cold. Paul and all the other staff are absolutely wonderful, kind and very helpful, just ask if you need anything, they will definitely do all they can to help you out. The served breakfast is always delicious, it varies a little every day so you never eat the same thing. Once we had to take our breakfast an hour early and everyone was so nice that we left with satisfied stomachs. If were ever back to Zanzibar, we’ll stay here again!

Located in Pwani Mchangani, 300 metres from Pwani Mchangani Beach, TIANDE Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.

Located in Pongwe, a few steps from Pongwe Beach, TOA Hotel & Spa Zanzibar provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. We loved absolutely everything! The staff were so-so kind and helpful, food tasted amazing and there was always so many different types of it. Air conditioning was better than any else hotel we have visited in Africa or Asia and rooms were clean, big and nice. We also loved the pool area where you can get literally everything you want- deeper and lower water, sunshine and not if you've had enough of it already. And best coctails in pool bar!! We had already booked another hotel too before our trip to Zanzibar (a bit more expensive one actually) and we regretted this decision every day and wished we had spent our whole trip in Zanzibar in TOA's hotel.

The staff, the food, the attention to detail (the spa is also great). I stayed in different hotels during my stay in Zanzibar, but his was definitely the cleanest too. Shout out to Ashoura. She was as super friendly and helpful.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful beachfront location! The views were absolutely stunning, and it was so relaxing to wake up to the sound of the waves. The staff really made the experience even better — they were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the drinks are highly recommended. Everything was perfect ! I would definitely stay here again.
