Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed at. I chose a private room because I wasn't sure if it would be noisy but I shouldn't have worried, by 10pm everything was silent. Amazingly friendly staff and the outdoor shower was a fantastic start and end to the day. If I was ever back in Cairns I'd happily stay here again.

Excellent place to stay, probably the best I had in my whole trip around Australia. It was a quiet place but very conveniently located just steps away from the bus/train station. It serves a perfect amount of guests, not few so you can't meet people, but not many so it feels cramped. It also has several toilets, kitchens and common rooms distributed around the house, so it helps. But what shines the most about this place is their owners, the kindness and good will they put when interacting with the guests and helping them with every need they might have. Thanks for all your help!

Very friendly and helpful owner. Good communications. We could let our luggage at the apartment and pick it up later. The breakfast area and living room was very relaxed. The place was a foot walk away from the main station and therefore perfect to go to Kurunda by train. You can go back by cableway and bus. Great tour.

Receptive and helpful management. It is conveniently accessible to the Esplanade, Shopping area and Recreation facilities (including Cairns Aquarium). The quietness of the places is a plus. Either by cab or by foot, most places can be reached with a certain degree of ease. The ease or efficiency of getting booked in as well as checking out is commendable. The cost is also very affordable, relatively. It is good for short-stay holiday makers who are seeking affordable accommodation.

Love the location it's near to everything just like how we expected. Also it's was a great experience with my family for the first time taking a little holiday and showing them the adventure of staying at the motel and being in the city especially for my kids which was there first time traveling. Just like we picture it thank you very much for you hospitality and making it very comfortable for us and many more. Specifically for my autistic son which he loved the accommodation and it's was very safe and secure. Thank you very much

Beautiful and spacious accomodation, perfect for families. All staff were accomodating and helpful & the pools were fantastic. The additional bonus of having both McKenzie’s cafè & a Taste of Thai on-site makes this holiday rental a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking is provided at the front of the rooms. It was very affordable and perfect for our overnight stay. The room provided all the essentials we needed. The Edge Hill Tavern also provided great food and friendly service with discounted drinks and dinner for the residents staying in the accomodation. We definitely recommend staying there. We attended a band at the Tavern, so it provided the perfect accommodation and met all the criteria. 😃😃😃

This is one of the best "Hostels" I have been to. Even when I arrived after check-in hours there was a lovely Lady there to welcome me and check me in. The owner I met the next day was really friendly and considerate. The kitchen and bathrooms where exceptionally clean! I would definitely recommend this place especially for travellers who like to stay at budget friendly accommodations but still like to sit and chill in a quiet corner under the trees every now and then. Close to the railway and bus station!
