It’s a fabulous place to stay! The outdoor spaces are well thought out, there’s lots of space inside in the lounge, the bedrooms are pleasant and well planned (2 double rooms and a single room with a bunk bed), the kitchen has everything you need, and the wildlife is literally on your doorstep (3 kangaroos were at the front of the property to welcome us and then a koala was on the back lawn the night before we left). There’s a beautiful beach nearby. A great pub nearby - but bookings are absolutely essential (unless you want to chance it and wait three hours). Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch. It really is a fantastic place to stay!

After a previous booking being cancelled and to get this accommodation on short notice, I was impressed. ane was lovely and very accommodating. The unit was great for our 3 night stay. She told us of its recent upgrade. We found the essentials provided were fine for us. We did make a couple of suggestions for kitchen utensils and was thanked for feedback. The price was impressive and I thought was great value. Very comfy bed and pillows. The air con did the job on the warm nights.

We had a fabulous stay at Emu Bay Holiday Homes. The views from the room are just spectacular - seeing the sunrise and moonrise over the bay is just breathtaking. Super quiet area with koalas and kangaroos on/around the property! Apartment was incredibly clean with everything you would need provided. It's a 15 minute drive to Kingscote and given collision risk to wildlife at night, we took takeaway dinners on our way back before dusk every evening and ate on the little front patio watching the moon rise over the bay - incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Easy to access any part of the island from here including the national park. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay - would highly recommend! Stay here for your KI holiday.

Sue was communicative about the location and the directions to get the key for the house. The house has an incredible view of the bay. It’s located in a nice neighborhood with tons of wildlife. We saw at least five koalas swaying in the trees nearby. And one night we saw a ton of kangaroos. Echidnas and gorgeous birds can be seen too. The property has a nice and easy bbq to use. And we were able to do a load of laundry and air dried our clothes. I even took a picture of the clothes drying on the line with the bay in the background because it was such a beautiful setting. There’s a dryer too in case line drying isn’t realistic. The kitchen is huge and has all the pots and pans and lots of supplies. We had a great time!

The property location was spectacular with penguins nesting in the garden and rolling gardens to the sea. The accommodation was set up for an extremely comfortable stay. Eric and Wilma were generous hosts and us feel welcome.

Was as we expected. Salty dog is in a great spot if you are looking for accommodation close to the beach, jetty. Lovely surprise was the penguins in the garden outside bedroom windows. Locals we met were very friendly. Be wary a lot of outlets such as restaurants and attractions were closed despite advertising open every day. Might be due to time of year. We found our winter stay was great and a lovely change from Nth Qld.

Emu Bay is the perfect spot to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation at Magnolia Emu Bay. Fabulous for two couples, two rooms with extra large beds with one room having ensuite & also a separate bathroom plus two living spaces. A lovely decking to enjoy the stunning views of Emu Bay. Very comfortable and clean in Hamptons style. Highly recommend, we will be back.

Emu Bay Holiday Homes exceeded expectations. Was very clean and the bed was super comfy after a long drive. The views from the cabin were amazing!! Also lots of kitchen amenities to use were very helpful when we wanted to cook at home. So many beautiful birds flying around and we even saw a wild koala in the tree behind the house. Great base location for exploring the island. Loved our stay here and felt so relaxed napping on the day bed on the deck.
