Casa dos Almas is simply a magical place, a peaceful accommodation located in front of the sea on Mendihuaca beach. We stayed in a double room with a sea view located on the second floor. If we could describe our room in one word, it would be cozy. Everything was very clean, tidy, and beautiful, with a spectacular view of the sea under the shade of an almond tree. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable, and the room had a fan (air conditioning is not needed with the sea breeze). The accommodation has very comfortable and pleasant common areas. We had the option of breakfast included, but we opted for the "Napolitan eggs," which were very delicious. Thanks to Maria and Ela for everything, very friendly staff. Joseph has been one of the best hosts we have met, making our experience much more enjoyable, always attentive and kind. He instructed us very well about the place, helped us with everything we needed, and guided us on some activities like the Cacao Tour; he knows a lot about the area and told us about the culture and biodiversity. Probably many have not heard about Mendihuaca beach; it is a recent destination for tourists but offers tranquility and spectacular landscapes, located a few kilometers from Tayrona National Park and with easy access to the city of Santa Marta and nearby places of interest like the Sierra Nevada, Palomino, and other beaches. There are various activities available such as kayaking, surfing lessons, massages, among others, and transportation to other areas of the region is easy through moto-taxis. The local cuisine is not very extensive but offers more than enough delicious options, with Humbe as a recommendation, though all the restaurants we tried were delicious. We highly recommend this place for those who want to spend some time disconnecting and relaxing.

Couldn't ask for anything better than what it was offered to us. Staff is super nice and helpful, the rooms were great and the view was amazing ! I loved and aspects of our staying, I'm just sad I couldn't stay longer. They even have Starlink 🙌

Our stay at YAY was incredible. We arranged transport from the bus terminal of Santa Marta - the driver met us as soon as we got off the bus, so our arrival was very smooth. The facilities are beautiful, the rooms, pool, restaurant and gardens are all very taken care of. Our room was very clean, and the food at the restaurant is very fresh and tasty, mostly plant-based with a few non-vegan options (eggs, fish, cow milk). The staff were super helpful with all of our questions, and we very easily arranged transportation to Tayrona and a nearby beach. There is barely any noise, the environment of the hotel is super relaxing.

The most beautiful, peaceful spot we’ve stayed! The river was right there for us to relax and cool down in. We arrived Sunday and the river had all the locals playing and listening to music. Was a fab day! The hosts are incredible. And their dogs became my best friends haha.

Encanto is a beautiful space, set in the rainforest. I loved my time there. It was so peaceful and tranquil. The food served at the restaurant was amazing! The facilities were very clean. They even have a projector you can watch movies on. Will stay again!

The accommodation was light and basic comfortable, very close to the beach. Goods positioned for a day to the Tayrona parcels. The neighbouring restaurant was great as added value to make the stay enjoyable

Just stayed here for one night. Accommodation was small but nice. There are very limited facilities on site (we knew this in advance so it was okay but important to know) . Lodges are right on the beach and wifi was good. Bit of a smell from water in the bathroom. Good pizza next door in Los Hermanos

Great place to stay! Food, staff, accomodation and pool were all perfect. Also good to do a tayrone trip from here. Road to accomodation is a bit rough, but nice ride.

The accommodations were stunning. Located right on the beach, we fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and wildlife. When we first arrived we enjoyed a sangria while sitting on the beach beside a beautiful fire. We didn't know until we got there that we had an entire "front yard" attached to our glamping site, with our own private sitting area with hammocks, and direct beach access. The outdoor shower was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were absolutely lovely... I very highly recommend this place.
