We had a great two night stay here. Really comfortable room. Beds were great. Large and spacious room with plenty of storage space. Good bathroom with hot shower. We could use the kitchen which was great. Breakfast was very good. Excellent location for walking into town. Laundry service which was a very reasonable price. Secure parking for our motorcycles.

Joanna was a gem of a host. Each morning she greeted us with a smile for breakfast (which varied everyday and was amazing!) and willing to help with everything. Booking tours via them is totally recommended it’s cheaper than other tour operators in town and when we went rafting we ended up in the same group as people who booked through geotravel (25 vs 30$). The bikes we rented were also well mantained and Joanna explained the waterfall route very well. Hotel also offers laundry at cheap prices. The room was as described and the shared bathroom was very clean, shower was hot. The patio and garden were really nice and were really inviting to have a drink or play a game. The Hostal is located in a peaceful bit of Banos. It’s a 10min walk to the centre, the uphill bit is easy with a normal fitness level. All in all our stay was really good (and good value!) but the staff made it heartwarming! Extra tip. Go to El Salado hotspring which is amazing and pretty close by.

It was a great place, the staff was soooo friendly, it made our stay even better! If you want, you can eat there, they make good pizzas! The breakfast is included and it's delicious. The accommodation is located 10 to 15 minutes by walk to the center of Baños.

Nice hostel near the centre of the Baňos. Nice and sufficient room, kitchen and terrace where we spent whole evening. We used the bike rental service and parking place. Only parking place is a little bit further - a few blocks. But in case you try to find nice, cheaper accomodation for 1 or 2 nights - this is really super place where to stay in Baňos.

It was a simple and affordable accommodation, but it stood out due to the amazing service and impeccable communication from our host, Johan. The room was in the hill, which gave us a great view of the city from the top. The accommodation in general is very quiet and you feel very private as the gate is locked. The breakfast was amazing, fresh rolls, probably the best in Ecuador in comparison to other places I stayed! The staffs were helpful.

the accommodation is located in the middle of a forest area (10min taxi ride from the city center). if you are looking for a laidback and remote area, this is the most beautiful place!! it even has a big community area, pool, whirlpool, garden and bar area to hang out. the facilities are spacious and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. after check out they offered me a locker to store my luggage while I wet on a tour. I was also allowed to stay and use the community areas and showers before I had to leave.

I'm so glad I stayed at Mama Tungu hostel and I can totally recommend it. The area is really green and you have waterfalls nearby. You can chill at the hostel the whole day, as there's a restaurant, the pool, the hot water tub,... and to get to Baños by taxi is easy. This was my favorite hostel during my 3 week holiday in Ecuador.

I loved my experience there and was very pleased with the staff, accommodations, food, location and value. Very close to a lovely thermal bath locale named Salado. Safe and easy to get to from the bus station. Well worth the stay!

The accommodations were clean and well-appointed We loved their sustainability measures The facility has many additional perks over other hostels (treehouse, giant hammock, pool & hottub), as well as access to hiking trails. The location was quiet but accessible to Banos within minutes. The food at the on-site restaurant was good as well.
