I absolutely loved my stay. Michelle is the caretaker and she was just incredible - so nurturing and caring. This place doesn’t feel like a hostel, it’s cosy, homely and so relaxed and friendly… plus you’re surrounded by such beauty just outside the door. It’s a really special place.

We loved our stay at The Rocks! A beautiful hostel in a very strategic point for walks and hikes. Staff is super kind and welcoming, the room and common areas are extremely clean, there is a nice kitchen with all amenities. Room small but cosy, with nice views. Would stay again!

We booked a Superior room (I have to say I did not realise it myself during booking), which was a bit pricier than what I am normally used to, but it was worth every penny. Richard is a great host, helpful but not intrusive. He gave us a couple of good tips: for example, when we asked about a place for a wild swim, he advised us Llyn Parc nearby, which was exactly the spot we were looking for. His handbook available in the room contained a lot of useful information as well. The room was very spacious, thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean with a great view to the garden and the river Conwy. The building itself and the general area of Betws-y-Coed are very scenic. There were several breakfast options on offer and they were all very tasty. For me, the quality of the mushrooms and the baked beans stood out - somehow they were tastier than at any other place I've visited in the UK. I also liked the porridge a lot.

To be honest, Chris and David have nailed it. They can write the book on how to provide quality, service and comfort in the guesthouse business. Everything was as it should be. Or better. Other owners should stay here, just to see how it should be done. Book this accommodation, nothing will dissapoint you.

We stayed in the family room, it was great value for money and the staff were super helpful when booking in. It is exactly as it says, it's a hostel type accommodation with shared bathroom facilities. Everything was clean, and the beds were all made for us. Good location, just on the edge of town, within walking distance of everything.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Garth Dderwen. Julie and Chris were very attentive hosts and the house was a perfect place to stay for our walking holiday. Substantial breakfasts and good conversations with Chris about what to look our for on our walks. The house is set back from the main road so the nights were peaceful. We were made to feel very welcomed to the B & B and also to Betws-y-coed.

historic farmland with amazing accommodations- ours was a former pigsty! the room was spacious and gorgeous. the huge property is very scenic with sheep, cows, and horses. Tamz the owner and our host, was wonderful in every way and so comfortable to spend time with. The final road to get here is a slow one car width road, so just take your time for the last mile or so. You will love it here, and breakfast is excellent too! To Tamz: thank you so much for having us!!!!

I stayed for a long weekend and was more than satisfied with this slightly quirky accommodation. Breakfast was served with a panache that would not be out of place in the Savoy. The fruit compote was actually freshly prepared fruit.

I had a brilliant time at Glyntwrog House. My hosts, Sean and Mary-Ann went above and beyond for me and ensured my stay was a special and memorable one with their manner and kind gestures. Their accommodation matched the hospitality with its immaculate cleanliness, wonderful forest view from the room and the varied and plentiful breakfasts using local ingredients. Thanks for everything, it was a privilege to stay.
