Our room was beautifully furnished, light and airy, with very comfortable bed, shower and bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities with lovely large decorative cups, fresh ground coffee with cafetière too - fantastic! The bar and restaurant was cosy and was decorated with very interesting pictures and books. They served local ales and very delicious, top notch food. The hosts were great, very welcoming and friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. We just loved them to bits.

We loved everything about our stay in the penthouse. The views from every room were amazing. My Dad who's 90 adored the bedroom and having 2 bathrooms really helped. The kitchen was well equipped and lovely touches such as fresh milk, biscuits and tea and coffee were so welcomed. It was great having a roof terrace. First night celebrations with fizz overlooking the sea. What more could we have asked for. It was a very special weekend for my family made all the more special with the kindness of our hosts. Will be back! Thank you so much

    What can I say? I liked everything. Absolutely beautiful location next to a river and a wonderful old building. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent food and the staff were all really welcoming, friendly and made our stay enjoyable.

    Excellent place to stay. Only one night but it was fantastic very clean room overlooking the river. The bed was so comfortable. We booked for an evening meal and it was huge but very good,I had the steak it was done to perfection. Breakfast was very good too, plenty to choose from will definitely stay again if I am down in the area.

    Rustic and out of the way, great staff, good food, particularly the big brekkie - although this was on top of the accomodation charge £12 each) which is why I have rated this hotel a 4 (value for money was ok but a bit more than other places we researched). In saying that, we would stay again. A comfy inn and clearly popular with the locals.
