We loved the lodge so much it was cosy & comfortable. Lovely little touches like eggs, bread & milk left for us on arrival. Self check in was easy, the bath was lovely just a shame it was a cloudy evening. Perfect location, very peaceful & private. Would definitely recommend & would stay here again without question.

This is the perfect country pub. It is stylish and clean and the food is excellent, but it is not in the slightest pretentious or ‘gastro’. We ate a delicious dinner, stayed in an extremely comfortable, well decorated and well maintained, family room and ate a hearty, gourmet standard, breakfast featuring local produce. The rate for the room and breakfast was so reasonable it seemed wrong not to be paying more. Best of all, the staff were unusually friendly, welcoming and good with our three, often boisterous, children. They even rang us ahead of our arrival to warn that there was a party being held in the pub the evening of our arrival and letting us know that it might be noisy (which it was not!). I could not recommend this hotel and restaurant more highly.

A really pleasant stay with friendly but unobtrusive hosts. It was very convenient to be able to replenish drinks for the room etc. from the guest dining room. We'd definitely stay again if in the area!

Brambles is set in a stunning peaceful spot overlooking neighbouring countryside and horses. The Shepherds hut is beautifully decorated and really thoughtfully furnished/equipped with everything you could possibly need. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Check in was easy and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, we had such a relaxing, albeit brief, stay - our only regret is that we didn't stay for longer! We very much hope to return when back on the IOW next year and highly recommend staying at Brambles 😃

Property was a great period property with amazing views over the town and Ventnor bay. At dusk bats flew around the garden and the sounds of the sea and sea birds have a really relaxing holiday feel. Beds were comfortable, all facilities we needed and plenty of space for big family group. Ample parking and close to local shops for picking up essentials. Great base for exploring the island.

The location was beautiful, we had red squirrels visit us in the garden and to wake up to bird song, was just the best. The accommodation was so comfortable. We will be staying here again.

Just excellent in every area. Comfortable, warm, cosy without feeling cramped in any way. Great facilities, good private parking, and the hosts had really good communication throughout. If/when we come back to the Isle of Wight, we probably won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely place to stay in. We enjoyed our time there. The owners put a lot of attention into details in decorating the lodge, really cosy and comfortable. We will definitely want to come back!

The lodge is small but perfectly formed and very homely. The hosts have gone all out to make you feel welcomed on arrival with all the little extra details. Communication before and during the stay was prompt, friendly and they were very accomodating. It was tough to leave at the end of my trip and I'll definitely be keeping this place in mind for future visits to the island.

Excellent accommodation, extremely well maintained and clean Very homely and relaxing property. Situated in a private location, but a great base to explore the island from. Would use it again if visiting the island. Recommend very highly a real cosy treat not to be missed. The proprietors were very friendly yet unintrusive staying in touch by message and leaving a fantastic welcome package for our arrival.
