On many of our short-stay trips to towns and cities we want to enjoy dining out in restaurants, rather than feeling tied to a hotel. Long Quay House gave us the joy of an excellently maintained and run bed and breakfast, with a friendly, family-run feel. You are made to feel very much at home. Parking was free and much nearer than we had expected from the website, being just a two minute walk away. A host of welcoming shops, restaurants and pubs within very easy walking distance. We will definitely try to stay at Long Quay House again if we are in the area.

This was an exceptional stay. Contact with the owner was very reliable, and they were very flexible with our requests. The houseboat is decorated and equipped to a very high standard, featuring all appliances and cooking equipment of the highest quality. The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard and is very comfortable. We stayed on board for the duration and cooked, enjoying the incredible views for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. Pre-dinner drinks on the upper deck were memorable, with a fantastic sunset view that we enjoyed.

    The view from our patio was gorgeous. The owner left a nice bottle of wine and we watched the sunset from the patio on top of a hill overlooking horses on the beautiful Irish countryside. The accommodations were professionally decorated and currently built on the site of a farm with alpacas, horses, and three friendly dogs. We enjoyed the fully appointed kitchen with the oven. Sometimes when traveling we enjoy cooking our own meals as a break from eating out.

    Character accommodation with great visual appeal. Nice warm friendly welcome. Room was attractive and very comfortable. Wonderful location right in the centre of the old part of town. The manager was extremely helpful with finding and returning my reading glasses that had fallen between the bedside table and the wall. We had a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

    The location and overall accommodations were perfect. Very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the harbor. The beds were very comfortable with great sheets and comforters. There were two great sitting rooms and two outdoor areas with seating as well. And there was even an ice machine!!! Anne was an incredible host. Lots of great recommendations and conversation.

    Our accommodations were lovely in every way. What was really exceptional was the staff! They could not do enough to make your stay wonderful including finding space in the full facility when I realized I had accidentally booked our stay one day short!!!
