Everything! Bundeli Kothi is one of those rare places where you instantly feel at home. The room was incredibly comfortable, the surroundings idyllic, and the food simply amazing. I loved the home-cooked dinner and breakfasts — fresh, local ingredients, delicious, and full of love. One of the highlights was learning to cook local dishes with the hosts — such a beautiful and authentic experience. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and genuine. I arrived as a guest and left feeling like part of the family.

We spent some lovely days with Surendra’s and Meena’s family. They are very welcoming and warm-hearted and we felt at home right away. If you choose to stay with them, what we highly recommend, you will have a nice and very clean room with comfortable and also really clean beddings. The room has an AC and a Ventilator and is nicely decorated. They invited us often to join them in the common space (outdoor floor in front of the rooms) and spent time together. We danced together, got a lesson how to make chapati, learned new things about the culture and chilled together. We also got the opportunity to wear Sarees and they helped wrapping us in :) One day one of us wasn’t feeling well and they were very caring. If you want, you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner for some extra cost - and it’s very good. If you are still not sure if that’s your accommodation for Orchha here is another plus point for Homes of India: Ashok who helps the families organise the homestays, is also for the visitors a big help. He gave us recommendations for activities around Orchha (for example to rent a bicycle and explore the nearby sanctuary which was really nice), booked the auto rides from and to the train station in Jhansi and also helped us get train tickets for our next travel stop. He replied very fast after every request or question from us and he is very reliable. I hope we already made our recommendation for their homestay clear, if not here it is: we recommend it :)

Great stay, thanks to people that work here. Great homemade food, help with ticket booking, pick up from the station and huge help with other requests. Just 10/10. The facility itself was ok, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean.

Everything at Hotel Sunset Orchha is just absolutely beautiful. Right from the adopted cat you’ll meet at the reception to the views from the rooftop. But the thing that really stands out at this hostel is the people managing the property. Aniket, Mahipal, Mayank and Rinku really make you feel like home. The hotel is located at close proximity to most of the tourist destinations in Orchha. So you can explore in the day and chill with everyone at the rooftop later in the night. I went to Orchha for 3 days but stayed there for 9 days just because I wasn’t willing to leave the the hostel. So if you are in Orchha, do not look anywhere else. This is the place folks. You won’t regret it trust me :)

We instantly felt at home in this amazing oasis in Orchha. We only stayed one night but could easily have extended our stay for the whole month. One of the best hotels ever!! I won't be forgetting this stay anytime soon. I've had the time of my life at Sunset and eventhough I haven't left Orchha yet, I can't wait to come back. The location is super convenient with lots of great options for food and activities nearby. The terrace is absolutely gorgeous, super picturesque- especially at sunrise! And the rooms are clean, spacious and so comfortable. With incredible natural light! I can't remember ever having slept so peacefully on a hotel bed. If you're looking to make friends, look no further. My time at Sunset has been so special to me. The staff in particular has been the highlight. They've been so helpful and attentive, and will go out of their way to make sure your every need is met. They' re truly special and I'm glad 1 get to call them my friends now. Thank you for everything Hotel Sunset, I'l be back soon!
