The most beautiful and thought through place my wife and I ever visited. The house is a mixture between English cottage and tiny home and offers every convenience you could wish for. Very friendly service. We were there for the race weekend of Fossavatnsgangan 2024 and the hosts even put a breakfast package for us to the fridge. They also immediately helped when our car got stuck in snow. Just wonderful kind, gracious and helpful people!

A historic house with a character. The staff was very friendly. The location is very good -- a shop is just nearby, a good restaurant in-house and hiking trails start within walking distance.

This extraordinary apartment is a hit! Central location, parking lot at the house, everything clean, imaginative and lovingly designed in a historic building, cosy! The kitchen is well equipped, also with everyday necessities ... exceptional: A special drawer with all conceivable spices! You will find various wines and soft drinks (white wine and rosé well chilled!) - the wines at pleasant prices and the soft drinks for free! It was a special pleasure to meet Gisli, the owner: such a warm and lovable man! He personally guided us through the house, the original domicile of his ancestors, and had a lot of interesting things to tell...everything here is exceptional! Note: There is a good bakery and cafe nearby. There is nothing negative to say! This was maybe the best accomodation on our two weeks trip to Iceland.

It is very remote but charming, warm and calm. The perfect spot to breathe and releaxe during our tours through the westfjords. We felt welcome, as if we stayed with friends. I would recommend and we definitely will come back.
