Staff is sooo friendly and helpful with everything. There is shuttles to the station every 20minutes and the rooms are so spacious and clean and with attention to detail - we loved it. The outside Onsen is beautiful and tattoo friendly.

Extremely cute place run by the sweetest Taiwanese couple. They speak multiple languages - Japanese, Chinese and English. They were also super helpful with providing us with all of the necessary information, ensuring that we were well taken care of for breakfast (amazing with proper coffee) and transport. The place was so warm and cozy with heated floors in the rooms which is a great plus for us who don’t do well with the cold.

Everything about it. The moment you enter the Ryokan, how welcoming the staff, being served nice cold welcome drinks and hot towels as the check in process happened at the sofa and not at a counter. This Ryokan though small in size provides the homely feel. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were both excellent. We enjoyed it very much.The public bath was nicely decorated too. The owners of the Ryokan definitely placed a lot of efforts to it's design, decorations etc. My husband and I wished we were staying another night instead of our overnight stay. We will return.

The place was amazing. Beautiful and large room, very comfortable. We absolutely loved the food, especially the Yamagata wagyu! It was delicious and the meals were so beautiful and plentiful. We bought many items from the hotel gift shop - they carry very nice souvenirs. Rooftop outdoor private onsen for free - an amazing addition to an already wonderful stay.

Definitely our best stay during our trip to Japan. Everything about this place is just exceptional. The room, the food, the onsen, the service, everything was amazing. We had a really memorable stay and felt very sad when we had to leave :( Our favorite part was when the staff explained all the food in front of us during breakfast and dinner, like storytelling. If you're looking for an ultimate ryokan experience, then this is it. We will be back for sure.

This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff

Excellent establishment, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The room was very cozy and clean. The environment was peaceful and calming. We enjoyed the spring bath too! The hotel offers a shuttle car to pick up and drop you off at the nearest station which is very convenient. We were welcomed by very kind staff who made our stay extra nice. Thank you! It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Dinner was a truly cool experience, featuring exquisite Japanese cuisine that was both authentic and delicious. The onsen was also exceptional, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The overall vibe of the hotel was inviting and warm, making it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended!

We would definitely recommend this ryokan as the staff was warm, helpful and considerate, the room was spacious and nicely decorated, the baths were indoor but had large windows with a nice view of a japanese garden, and the food was very very good; the staff could even accomodate the needs of my vegetarian partner. The price was also really convenient. In conclusion, we had a wonderful experience during our stay there.

For the price I paid, the quality of food exceeds expectation so were the hot springs. My only grouse is the pillows were not the traditional buck wheat pillows I expected. Meals were served in the room which has a separate sitting and dining area from the bed room. The Yonezawa beef came with a price but it is well worth paying for. A very nice 2-day stay.

The private bath with view to the garden was wonderful, and the view was amazing. The food was exceptional. The staff are extremely friendly, and helpful. I forgot my charger which powers all my devices and they brought it to my next accommodation for me.

The hosts were more than friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The floor heating in the rooms provides warmth without decreasing humidity. The most comfortable stay I had during my ski trip. The hosts will drop off and pick up guests at the lifts so you can enjoy the Zao mountain. Not much around the location so be sure to eat before returning to the hostel.

It was a very lovely place and the staff were so kind and thoughtful. There was so much attention to detail in everything they did and the food that was included was amazing. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and will be recommending this to everyone I know. The onsen in the room was divine and it was all just so lovely.
