I think this is my favourite hostel, I can scarcely imagine any place having a better assortment of things you can use while on your trip of the amazingly pretty Izu peninsula. The hosts are amazing, and you can see their love for travel and travellers. I've had really fun conversations with them and I'm sure I'll see them again on my next visit. I had great talks with the guests as well, all while admiring a pretty bay with light blue water from the living room. Rooms are tidy and have 2 sockets per bed, with a toilet and shower in each room. I think I could stay here for a while when I visit Japan again.

Very nice place near the Shirahama beach : the room was simple but with all needed and its private bathroom. The 2 outside private onsen are very nice ! We could not surf as there was no wave but you can park your car and use the outside shower until 14:00 after check-out, perfect for a morning session on the last day. Also, the breakfast was delicious (fruit juice, yoghourt, boiled egg and a very good sandwich) : you can have it on the go or eat it in the dining room !

I think a stay at vacation home like this, is always 50% the place itself and 50% host. Both parts were great. House is freshly renovated, with taste and touch of local surfing community. Richard was always keen to help but letting us explore on our own pace.
