We stayed only one night but wish it was longer. Shino is the perfect host! After eating breakfast at her cafe, we went to board the bus across the street. I completely forgot my bag. As many have said Giovanni and Yutaka are wonderful hosts and the setting of the accommodation is stunning, with a phenomenal view from the table at the top of the property. We were able to be dropped off and picked up from a leg of the Kumano Kudo trail, which was a great walk, and it was lovely to come back to the hospitality and wonderful food of the Kumano Winery Guest House - the meals we had here were some of the best we’ve ever had. No doubt just book it, it’s soooooo nice on the river the rooms are amazing the facilities are unbelievable and the food (we had breakfast and dinner) was super fresh and chef worthy. Great and passionate hosts who just love what they are doing: farming, hosting guests, cooking and looking after their goats. We loved the old farmhouse and especially our baby son enjoyed the trips in the evening to the goats and see all their babies. Giovanni's food was amazing and it was a really relaxed atmosphere for dinner. Conversation in English was easy.
