The hospitality and friendliness of the staff is just perfect! The food is great too. We started our holiday here and it was great to recover from the flight, you can also go for trips, we went to the Brief Gardens which was great, but there is more to explore, so you can definitely stay longer here.

Location was perfect for all BENTOTA & surrounding activities. The beach was just across the river for which the owner provided a free boat service. The property was very well maintained, clean & comfortable. The deck facing the river was the icing on the cake. Owner couple were so friendly & accomodating. The breakfast was too good & fresh. Amber house also has a great menu for meals. The swimming pool was cool & clean.

cosy but spacious ac’d rooms with a flower flanked balcony. very clean facility in general including a groomed garden entrance. the hosts greeted us very warmly with flower necklace and a coconut welcome drink. the breakfast was also great and actually way too much but a takeaway bag was already prepared. in general the atmosphere stayed as good, when we arrived and we’ve also been driven to and picked up from a nearby restaurant.

An ideal place to spend 3 nights. Very near the beach, multiple restaurants, local shops and snack bars. The property itself is extremely well kept by Jaya. I loved eating his freshly grown fruit for breakfast, and he's really interesting and helpful, particularly with local knowledge. You wont be getting ripped off when Jaya is helping you book activities (lovely mangrove tour and pit stop at ayurveda garden!). Very relaxing feel to the place too! The room was more than spacious.     This property was a real oasis on the other side of the railway track. It was luxurious, had lovely decor, had a good pool, had great hosts and was excellent value. The breakfasts were fantastic and our host Nelson cooked us 2 delicious meals on our 2 nights there - the food was so good that we just didn’t want to eat anywhere else. Right up there with all the places we stayed in during our Sri Lankan holiday. A great find!

    10/10 The brilliant cozy room setup pinned with a sea-faced rest area makes this place peaceful to spend some quality time with loved ones. Bedroom amenities are attentive to details by the friendly host willingly assists us with everything. during the Vesak holiday that we visited the restaurant was closed, however, the breakfast was a big meal and balanced. We enjoyed our stay at Esprit Bentota without any hassle. Thank you very much for having us.

    Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The design of the hotel is stunning, staff very friendly and helpful, spoiled us during all our stay. We enjoyed our time so much the time spent at Villa Thamburu and we thought to expend few more days but we had work duty and was not possible. The suite Pedro, our accommodation, was extremely comfortable and perfect for a romantic time! Food was good and hotel very clean. The public beach outside is beautiful but not suitable for swimming however we enjoyed our lazy chill in the hotel beach and pool.

    The best place I stayed during my 2-week holiday in Sri Lanka. The place was very clean and the AC worked perfectly. It's very close to the beach. The host is really nice; she takes care of you as if you were part of her family. She even welcomed me into her kitchen for lunch when I arrived in pouring rain and couldn't go out to a restaurant. Delicious and huge breakfast, with lots of fruit, toast, eggs, and homemade sweets. Excellent value for money.

    It was amazing to stay in this apartment. Great location, 2 amazing restaurants only 2 min walk, 4 min to the best beach in Bentota. AC works great, king size bed 😍. But the best about this vacation were our hosts. They are super friendly and welcoming. They organised all excursions for us🙂 and always recommended places to visit and see. 🥰

    Location close to center, quiet. It was the best homestay we had during our holidays in SL. Best equipped, with toilet paper, soap, kettle, hot water, moskito net, what is not standard in SL and this price category. It was the very first time, that homestay had also information regarding train schedule!

    We stayed 1 night before flight in the family room, which had plenty of space. Beds were comfortable, room nicely prepared and decorated w flowers by our arrival. We used the pool heavily. Also breakfast we found very good (continental w fruits). Beach is easily achievable over the rail and road. The accomodation has own ayuverda facility.
