Great check-in experience with king coconut water. The staff was very responsive and proactive with regards to getting to the location as its in a remote area. Rooms were very beautiful - free standing building, high ceilings, nice bathroom.

But what truly made our stay special was the staff's warm hospitality. They made us feel like family, not just guests. And the location? Perfect! I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. We loved our stay! Rooms are huge, as well as the bed, and super comfortable. The staff very friendly and the cook excellent. Gabriel and his family are a delight. he helped us at all times and provided us with the info we needed to go on safari. The lodge is very close to Yala Park so it is a must if you plan to visit.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic, very warm and welcoming. Kapila's knowledge about the flora and fauna in Yala National Park is top level and we would highly recommend doing your safari with him. The rooms are very spacious, the beds are super comfortable and the hotel is in a very quiet spot so you are guaranteed a good night sleep. The garden is beautiful with lots of bird life around too. Highly recommend staying here!

I had a memorable stay at the Funky Leopard Safari Lodge. The location is great and the ambience right in the heart of nature is heartwarming. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I was welcomed by Anton with a big smile and felt at home immediately. He was kind and very prompt, attending to my meals, reminding me of the times (😊). The food was well made and delicious. I had the privilege of having dinner at the campsite, by a bonfire. Timirah is a very kind and professional waiter with a perfect sense of timing. I also did a safari in Yala as a solo traveler and was lucky to have Vimansha as my guide. He was kind, attentive and very knowledgeable, which made me feel safe and well cared for throughout the experience. He shared fascinating insights about the park and its wildlife, turning the trip into something truly memorable. Highly recommend him if you want a meaningful safari, not just a drive through the park. Speaking of driving, Geeth was a very skilled driver who did everything to his em reach to make me feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this lodge and would love to come back. I took the night walk around the premises, which was wonderfully guided with high respect for all species. Thank you.

A beautiful treehouse in the middle of the jungle. If you like to stay in unique, more adventurous accommodations then this is the place for you. It is comfortable and you fall asleep listening to the sounds of nothing but the nature around. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any questions you’d have. 100% recommend staying here!

The accomodation is like a hotel in the jungle! The best kind of glamping you could ask for. Dinner is brought to your room (whilst the restaurant is under construction) and was some of the tastiest food we’ve had. The hosts will organise a safari tour for you. We picked the full day and breakfast and lunch was catered for us - more than enough food! The accomodation is on the border of Yala National Park and it was amazing to wake up to monkeys in the trees and buffalo in the garden. Highly reccomended a stay here.

Great clean and quiet rooms. Booked with them last minute as our pre-booked accommodation was unsatisfactory and this place was leagues better and for a fraction of the price. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay for a safari.
