I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

The Staff of Ellankanda Villa made our stay so very pleasent. The food was excellent(!) and we always felt very cared about. Rooms are very clean and you can tell that there is a sense of detail, which give the place its charme. It is a quite place, but you can nicely explore the area by yourself (or in our case we were even gives a small tour by the Staff - thank you again!). Absolut recommendation if you want to spend some quite days in a great place.

Wonderful place with wonderful people. The cleanest place we have had during our stay in Sri Lanka. Each of the staff members seemed too good to be true. It was difficult to believe that all those people are so genuinely nice, but they were for sure. Highly highly recommend this place for everyone. In reality it looks exacly like in the pictures or even better.

Unexpectedly found, It is small villa, with mini fridge and kitchen. Room is plenty for 2 of us, with a comfortable bed. Everything was there that we can think of like hot water, A/C, and the internet. Owner of the place was very kind towords us.Beach near it was one of the best. He arrange a village tour for free of charge. Breakfast was also good. The time spent there was very enjoyed.

This is one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka. The layout of the gardens, between the sea and the lagoon, is magnificent. Geoffrey Bawa chose this spot very carefully and the new wings have been integrated well. Even if there are many guests, you can still retain a certain privacy because the grounds are so extensive. We particularly enjoyed a curated tour by Sanduni de Fonseka who has specialised in the work of the Bawa brothers and the art works on display - by, amongst others, Laki Senanayake and Barbara Sansoni. High-quality food. We have been to this hotel several times, and our overall experience, as always, was excellent.

Everything was exceeding our expectations. The hotel alone is beautiful with a lot of trees and nice lights, a great pool and cosy, clean rooms. The food is also superb, they offer a great selection for dinner and lunch for a good price and you get a huge portion, which is always appreciated, but on top of that everything tastes really really good! The cherry on top is the staff… all people working there is clearly there for you to ensure you spend an amazing time there. Everyone is super helpful and everyone is unimaginably nice. I highly recommend visiting this place and stay there for many nights. We regretted that we couldn’t stay there for longer time, trully amazing place and people!
