Love this place! At the beginning I thought I would stay only 2 nights, finally I stayed here 14 days. The owner - Chathu is a great guy! He knows everybody and can help you with everything. His crew is also very friendly. I felt like at home here! Btw - they have amazing food aswell - in the kitchen works Chathu’s father which used to be chef in the best hotel in Sri Lanka for 20 years. Once you are in Midigama, you should definitely stay here ♥️👏

We had the most amazing experience at this homestay! From the moment we arrived, making us feel completely at home. Their warmth and care were beyond what we could have hoped for. The food they served, at such a reasonable price, was absolutely delicious—every meal felt like it was made with love. Beautiful light new and well maintained rooms. Very very clean. Calm green surroundings but not far from restaurants and the beach. 5-10 minutes. The family is incredibly welcoming and lovely. They also own the general store right next to the place which is convenient. I planned to stay for some days but ended up staying for over a month. Definitely recommend!

Bhanuka and his family are amazing hosts. The apartment is located on the second floor of the villa, with a private entry. The place features a spacious bedroom, a living room, a separate kitchen with a dining area, and a terrace with a nice view of the garden. It’s perfect for both short and long stays. The bathroom has hot water, and the internet works perfectly. The surrounding area is peaceful, yet it's close to the beach and essential services. It’s definitely the place to stay in Midigama.

The room seems very new and is very well equipped with a fan, table, chairs and a balcony. There is also a kitchen as well as a fridge which was nice. The stay is just a 5min walk from the beach and all the shop, yet you still have it very peacefull and quiet here. The host is super friendly and helpful, I would definitely come back.

My stay was amazing, the hosts made me feel part of the family since I arrived. A true home away from home. Everything was better than expected. Location is perfect. They put me in a better room than the one I’ve booked. We had bbq together, the wave is right in front. Couldn’t ask for more. They even gave me the best deal renting a bike. So thankful 🙏🏽

    The location in Midigama is perfect, short walk to the beach, train station, bus stop and main road but far enough away to avoid the noise. All conversations are via whats app and any questions or requests were answered straight away. The owners are so sweet and really try to make your stay special, a welcoming drink, dropping by with fresh fruit and helping us find a driver to our next accommodation, very much appreciated. If you need a place to stay in Midigama, Coffee Shade is a great choice!

    We spent two weeks here, and it was one of the best accommodation during a month long sri lanka trip. It is an ideal location if you want to be away from the noise but close to the surf locations such as Weligama or Ahangama. Reasonable price, rooms are clean, breakfast is good, there was always someone around if anything was needed (laundry , scooter rental or airport pickup) The host was responsive, the family running the place were super kind and helpful. Highly recommend to stay here! :)
