We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this property! The house was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A cute, clean & cozy apartment. Nice host. Everything was clean. I liked the creek next to the house. Beautiful view from the veranda and windows. You can see the mountain and littler plateau mountain of Oppdal on the other side on which I hiked that one monday evening and was impressed and amused somehow because I met on the way up and on the way down so many locals who obviously did their evening sports.

Excellent place to stay overnight during a road trip. It offers great value for money compared to, for example, staying in Trondheim; the town itself has everything you need, and nice nature is around the corner.

Second time I stayed at Vekve Hyttetun. Once again it was an excellent base to explore Dovrefell national park. Oppdal is only 25mins away from Kongsvol train station where you can hike to the DNT hut Reinheim or search around for Musk Ox to photograph. Friendly owner and the cabins are super comfortable and warm.

The room was veryy clean and spacious. It had all facilities you would need for a stay. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent. We will certainly come back to stay.
