Fabulous restaurant, neat rooms, Nice staff, great location, dog-friendly, very clean rooms and the in-between cleaning was very thorough, leaving no spots. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Beautifully restored traditional old hotel. We had the top floor suite. Very spacious and comfortable. Absolutely wonderful receptionist…couldn’t be more helpful.

Beautiful surroundings... you can walk in the forest. Impressive breakfast... strawberries is the name of the place :). Nice old house... some pieces of real history inside. Very clean. On the main road but quiet as well. Large restaurant at the location. A place where you could relax and forget about anything...

A really quiet location close to the fjord. We loved the main house and its history. Thank you for the welcome. We've got a good and fresh dinner with a nice breakfast. The garden is beautiful despite we didn't use it due to the weather.

A hidden gem of a hotel, tucked away in a peaceful location. The staff are absolutely outstanding and the dinner was brilliant. Breakfast was a well stocked continental buffet with hot fresh eggs and bacon available. The bedroom was immaculate and well presented with a comfortable bed and bedding. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect! Very clean and comfortable apartment with everything you need. Beautiful surroundings with mountain landscape. Easy to visit Geiranger, Trollstigen and Ålesund from there.

In every review there should be something positive and something negative. So, let’s get the negative out of the way first: the only thing we found unpleasant in this house was, that we only stayed for one night! Now the positive(s !!): Friendliness of the hostess 11 out of 10. Facilities and standard of the house excellent!!! Everything is freshly renovated and the standard is way… way above average, putting it modestly. To put this review in perspective we stayed in several 4 & 5 star hotels during our road trip throughout Norway, this is better - 5-star superior in our opinion! You can park the car figuratively in the front door! Only 1 meter! The highlight is the newly build, spacious terrace with a view which is so fabulous that it makes you forget time. One thing you should bring with you for this terrace is a sturdy supply of wine, red or white is up to you ;-) Fazit: We enjoyed our stopover tremendously!!!

Here is the criteria we use when reviewing a property. Kitchen - it was good. Shower - the best we have had this trip (from about 12). Comfort - excellent. Instructions/communication - excellent. The two bonuses were the stunning view and the quiet when inside.
