The property had everything that I needed. Great shower and bathroom. Cosy bed, TV lounge and well stocked kitchenette. We sat outside and had takeaway I the garden which was pleasant.

Mike and Pam were absolutely brilliant hosts: knowledgeable, attentive (without being intrusive). They gave us the feeling that nothing was too much trouble and were helpful, friendly and wonderful from start to finish. The hotel is right next to the Ferry Terminal (literally across the road if you’re going to Stewart Island, Rakiura), there’s a little Four Square Supermarket a couple of doors down for all the essentials and some great choices for dinner if you’re around in the evening. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Linen was immaculate and excellent quality and the hotel has some brilliant original Art Deco features and character, plus a bar and lounge to relax after an days adventuring!

Location was fabulous. Views from room were fantastic. Right at end of island. Restaurant next door. Breakfast included in price. Staff were friendly and ensured we had everything we needed.

Lovely house with a wee beach across the road. Nice and roomy with good sunlight through the windows. Main bed upstairs was a bit hard for me but others were fine. Oysters and fish and chip heaven. Met some really nice locals at the Golden Arm pub.
