The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They happily stored our bikes in reception. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable with lovely linen. They even made a special vegan breakfast for my partner which was delicious. For cyclists visiting Jiufen, the property is at street level which is a real bonus in this hilly town!

The room was set up beautifully - a lot of thought had gone into the presentation and everything was very new and clean. There was plenty of space in the bathroom, the seat with a view down over the town and to the sea was a perfect spot to sit and admire the view, the beds were very comfortable, the tea provided was very nice, and the wooden details throughout the room and the shared entrance area were beautiful. Much of Jiufen has very narrow streets and stairs that taxis cannot navigate, but this accommodation was very convenient as an taxi can drop you off on the road at the top of the hill less than a minute's walk away.

The view from the rooms is spectacular! All spaces are very clean and it was very quiet during my stay ! The old street is just a few minutes away on foot and it is very easy to find it if you are coming by bus as the bus stop is 2 min away ! I would definitely stay here again if I visit Jiufen in the future ☺️

The hotel is clean and is located a walking distance to the old street. It is also located high up so that you can get a view of the area when the weather is clear, and the area around the hotel is quiet. We came late in the evening. The housekeeper/owner asked us if we have eaten dinner. When we said no, he kindly gave us free cup noodles since most of the restaurants were already closed. There were complimentary snacks and tea on the common area by the reception. We were unfortunate with the weather, as it was raining the whole day after we arrived. It was good that they have umbrellas that guests can borrow from the hotel. The umbrellas are very practical to have when the rain is light or moderate, but not when it is heavy and windy. When we got back to the hotel, our clothes and shoes were soaking wet. It was good that we had a shoe dryer in the room, as well as dehumidifier. The owner/housekeeper can only talk Chinese, but we had good communication with the help of Google Translate. The hotel is located near a charming cafe that looks like a greenhouse from inside. The hotel has a partnership with the cafe, so we got 10% off our orders. The cafe serves good breakfast and tea.

I love it! Warm & cozy room, full equipment, felt like at home. Breakfast was good & the host was so friendly, always smile, though not good at english but trying to communicate with me, showed me the tea house & cake shop which she appreciates. Bed was comfort, quiet at night. There is a spot to view the landscape of mountain & sea only take one flight of stair from the BB, I love waking up early & take a walk around.

After about two flights of stairs in the pouring rain, we arrived at the B&B. We were greeted by a nice lady who helped check us in. She doesn't speak English but did her best to translate all the required information. The next day, the rain was still pouring. The owner noticed wa worried that our shoes would get wet and offered shoe covers free of charge. That was a really kind and nice gesture. Do support this family run business. We're happy to stay here again.

we absolutely loved the views - the pictures did not do justice. Such a zen place to stay, the room had authentic cute Jiufen views, the top common area was so beautiful. we were also blessed with great weather - I'll never forget the sunset we saw from our accommodation. The breakfast next day was also super delicious. The aunty making our breakfast made sure we had enough food and was so helpful with suggesting what condiments to go with our porridge. Love the overall experience.

My stay here for 1 night was magical. The lady (whose name I can't remember!) met me off the bus and showed me the accomodation. She had made some delicious food and heated it up for me! The accomodation is so cosy and has the most amazing view and cats to welcome you home. 5min walk away from central Jiufen. Can't recommend more.

The accommodation is basic but it's a good budget option if you want to stay in Juifen. The owner doesn't speak much English but is very nice. The view from the place is great and there's also free coffee.

The host was a wonderful lady who provided us with a lot of information about the surrounding areas. She even arranged for transport (self-paying) from Shifen to the accommodation. My friend and I enjoyed the place tremendously. I will definitely return to this accommodation if I were to go back to Jiufen again. The unit we stayed is modern in terms of furnishing yet rustic in terms of the wall features. It was supposedly a place owned by the family for generations. We love the experience.

Good location close to the Tarako gorge visitor centre and various walks. Guests were super friendly and helpful. Accommodation was lovely and a little oasis from the heat. Breakfast was nice. Loved our stay.
