Such a good surprise! We had to stay 2 nights extra in SLO and we found Petit Soiel, sucky us! The place is amaxing, so beautiful and very boutique style. Everyone that works there is so nice, we felt very welcome all the time. The rooms are beautiful, a mix between new and old, but very clean and nice.The bed is very good! The room is a little small but you can see the size when you book, so you know what are you waiting for. They have a happy our where you can seat inside in the beautifull room or outside with a very nice vibe, receive one free drink and a little wooden board with charcruterie. We loved the idea. Also, the breakfast is really good. It's not a lot of food (you can pick one pastry and one dish from the menu) but it's good. I would love to come back and I wish you can continue this amazing level of service.

Huge room!! Perfect for our family of 5, unfortunately only had 1night passing through. The beds were so comfy, shower perfect. Decor very modern. Pool was great and heated. Modern laundry which i did make use of..takes quarters ($2) but reception were happy to swap a note for these. We ate at the restaurant as we were too tired to venture out and we all enjoyed it. Slept well, would definately come back.

The host made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The bunkhouse is very cute from the outside, set amongst rocks and cacti in a great country location. However it’s not until you enter that you can really appreciate how beautiful it is. The interior design, fittings and features are lovely. We all loved it.

What a lovely gem of a hotel in beautiful St Luis Obispo! This was the first stop.on our trip to California and it did not disappoint! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and staying in it reminded us of many family holidays in France. We missed the aperitifs but breakfast was superb!

The scenery was absolutely stunning! The host Ryan was very welcoming and kind. There were two golden retriever dogs on the property who were very friendly and came out to welcome us when we arrived. The accommodations were very clean and had plenty of space.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring downtown SLO. Each of the staff was friendly and helpful, there was complimentary wine or bubbly after checking in and cookies in the afternoon. The morning breakfast had muffins and/or fruit laid out and a hot entree that was prepared upon request. Decor and accommodations were charming and added to the historic character. Afternoon light made the lobby a great place for reading or for swapping stories with fellow travelers.

We love this place. It is our #1 spot to stay in San Luis Obispo. The staff feel like family and the accommodations are comfortable and relaxing. The food is also delicious and the 24 hour coffee and tea is a great amenity.

Sleeping accommodations are spartan (it's a hostel), but very clean. The shared restroom facilities were also very clean and worked well. The downstairs common areas were appealing and comfortable. The manager was friendly and easy to work with. The location (a block and a half from the Amtrak station) suited us perfectly. The "downtown" area of SLO is only a few blocks away.
