This was a near perfect hotel experience. From letting us keep our bags there whilst we flew to Alice Springs for 3 days to the seamlessness of just actually staying there, it was all excellent. The location is great for both the city and the river. We had a river view room and the view over the Oval, Festival theatre and the river was stunning. I didn't book a room with a balcony as we find we don't use them, but this time I wished that I had done. The bed was comfortable, there were complimentary snacks and a bottle of wine for my birthday arranged by the wonderful concierge, Lavinia. I loved the iPad to control the room and anything else that you needed for your stay. The staff were good without being too obsequious; when the remote broke, we had a new one within 30 mins and a sorry for putting us through that! The casino was huge but didn't impact on our stay, and the bar and restaurant were fab! The mixologist made me the best Cosmopolitan even though it wasn't on the menu. This was also the first hotel to have both a rubbish bin and a recycling bin.

The Adelaide Convention Centre and Adelaide Casino are both just a 10-minute walk from Oval Hotel at Adelaide Oval. The room was immaculate with attention to all details. The wet bar and bathroom were stocked with the appropriate amenities. The coolest thing was the blinds closing after we left and opening automatically when we came back into the room. We had a great view of the old church and the park which was very nice. The location was walkable to the mall and train station, which was also a plus. The view of the Oval from the restaurant and bar was great, too.

Guests can access the bed and breakfast via private entrance. cabin was well appointed with everything we needed during our stay. The bed was comfy, and the Wi-Fi worked great. Irene have provided fresh baked goods and everything we needed for a breakfast. Having a designated parking space was great. Located right on the main street we were able to walk to shops and resturants.
