Didnt fully appreciate that this is run to generate profits that go entirely educating local kids. Amazing. Dutch couple running it are inspiring. Great bedding options ( we got 3 singles)

The location is perfect to the beach and park .

Facilities for disabled guests are also available. Very comfortable and big bed, great shower, delicious breakfast, very clean and exceptionally welcoming hosts. They have a lot of info on activities in the area and the local flora and fauna. But most of all they make you feel at home and safe. I would definitely come again to spend some relaxing days at Raya in Matapalo! The location is just perfect, everything in walking distance 7‘ to the beach, 5‘ to famous and awesome Matapalo Supper Club Restaurant, another restaurant and the supermarket. 20‘ to the bus stop. And on the other side of the road: Angelo who takes you on trips with his lovely horses.

There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The layout of the container apartment was great, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the view was gorgeous! We enjoyed sitting on the rockers on our private deck looking across the valley.

The only thing I can complain about is the very steep and narrow road uphill, but that's true about many roads in Costa Rica Overall - amazing stay!
