Small wonder so many expats living elsewhere in the DR stay there regularly when in the capital. Evidently you can't expect 5star luxury for 21 € per night, but all is comfy, the retro decor funky and the large shared balcony an additional plus for relaxation. Great to have a private fridge and kitchen access, though we only used it to make coffee during our short stint. Thanks again for waiting until 1 a.m. because our flight was late.

Their drinks were ok, but the food was nauseating.

This recently renovated apartment is located 27 km from Malecon and 29 km from Agora Mall. Blue Mall is 30 km from the apartment and Faro a Colon is 21 km away. The people that recieved us were very kind and helpfull and went beyond our expectations! For Dominican standards, it was a superior place to stay!

The attention to detail was *chef’s kiss* The staff is like family, pleasant and extremely helpful. The location was right in the heart of the colonial zone…. Shopping, food and entertainment right at your doorstep. Uber just at the corner of the block if you want to go anywhere your legs can’t take you. Also a pharmacy at the corner of the same block. It’s safe to walk on “El Conde” from top to bottom, just stretching your legs, shopping, and taking in the rustic scenery and the activity. With the activity down below, the room was still very quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Cleaning service came everyday and left us chocolate and water which was a nice touch. Our chef Omar even came out much earlier than breakfast hours on our last day to prepare us our meals to go because our flight was early. He was like our big brother. Dominic and Melissa were great too. Very responsive and helpful, they all were just a WhatsApp message or call away, even organizing to have the jacuzzi started an hour before we came home so that it would be ready. I cannot recall her name but our housekeeper looked after our room so well everyday. Overall, our stay was a dream. Location is perfect for exploring the old town by foot. They arranged a taxi for me from the airport upon arrival at a good price. Room was basic but nice too. I found it quite peaceful which was needed.
