We loved our stay here. The room was warm and cozy. There is a small living area for the rooms to use which is very cosy and relaxing. There is a boiler available for guests to use (with tea and coffee) in the living room, which was nice! The accommodation is located very conviently walking distance to everything in Akaslompolo (restaurants, lake, supermarket, nature trails) and I loved coming back every evening to the cosy space. We had a car and had free parking behind the house. The kitchen is not available for guests to cook meals, but they lent us cutlery and cups for us to occasionally make some instant soup/noodles for dinner. Breakfast was served very nicely and shared with the other guests. They were also accommodating for vegan diets with cheese, cold cut and milk alternatives. They offer a lot of activities as well for anyone who would like to partake.

Situated in Ylläsjärvi, 38 km from Kolari Train Station, Ylläshuiput has ski-to-door access, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The accommodation features a sauna. The apartment has parking on-site, a sauna and a lift. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Sauna was lovely after a long day on the hill. There is a locker downstairs for all ski/snow equipment, as well as a room for waxing and fixing snowboards which was great! being able to do laundry and use the drying cabinet was also very useful. bed were comfortable and we got plenty of good sleep.

I wasn't expecting a private sauna in the bathroom when I booked (I'm not sure if they advertise that clearly but it was definitely a cool bonus) it heated up properly too (100C+). Facilities are great, lots of cutlery and plates etc, new kitchen facilities. It worked great for me as a night stopover on my road trip.

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. Ylläs Ski Resort is 2.7 km away. The cabin exceeded our expectations, we felt very comfortable, warm and cosy (even with -25 outside). It is fully equipped with everything you need, we haven't missed anything in the kitchen. It is also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Location was perfect, with privacy of being nestled in the forest, but within a short walk from village center and all the amenities and facilities. We didn't want to leave.
