Fabulous location - the moor was just across the road, with moorland ponies, sheep and lambs grazing within metres of the gate daily (April). Fantastic menu - particularly breakfast - kippers with a poached egg was my favorite - with greek yoghurt with berry coulis and chia, pepitas and prunes. Dinner menu was good - but breakfast was exceptional. Beds excellent. Staff a delight - felt like a local - genuine, warm, funny, engaging. Lounge was premium - very well done. Bar robust and cosy. Plenty of powerpoints for laptops.

Fantastic location very close to Dartmoor, perfect for hiking and exploring the area. Breakfast was simple but of very good quality, even without continental style. Bread, yogurt, fruits and more provided a satisfying start. Being able to eat breakfast on the terrace made for a lovely morning experience. There's a charming church nearby, perfect for a nice short walk in the area.

The Mason has rooms located in the original building and cottage rooms which are set in the hotels gardens. They include TVs, wooden beamed ceilings and some have valley. Free WiFi is available at the property however this may be restricted due to our location in Branscombe Staff very help full and friendly, Food and breakfast exceeded expectations- Great!
