I loved my stay at the Cosy Apartment! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. After I let them know about my work commitments and schedule, Connar would kindly light the stove in advance so that I returned each day to a beautifully warm and cosy space — so thoughtful! The apartment itself was the real highlight: very spacious, well-appointed and equipped with plenty of facilities (though there’s no dishwasher). It was also in a great locatation within easy driving distance of Athlone and other local sites such as Clonmacnoise. Highly recommended!

All rooms in the accommodation are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer. What a great find. Castlepollard may not be on every tourist map yet, but it will be soon! There has recently been significant investment in this hotel and it shows; well appointed, spotless rooms, an excellent bar and restaurant, and a great team to make sure you feel right at home.

The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!
