The property is in a gorgeous location overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Lots of options for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Cozy and comfortable cabin had everything we needed. I’m so glad that we booked 2 nights - you’ll regret leaving after just one night. We didn’t see the lake monster, but did have beautiful aurora borealis shows both nights. This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip around Iceland.

Great place to stay in an even better location just next to the nature! We stayed with my wife for two nights in their beautiful forest room “Skogar”, a wooden fully equipped private room with private bath. Very clean, with comfortable beds. We managed to cook our dinner and also prepared our breakfast in the kitchen. Lastly, the hosts were so friendly and kind that we thought we have been staying in our home place!
