Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is gelegen in Aomori, op 6 km van Archeologische vindplaats Sannai-Maruyama en 43 km van warmwaterbron Tsuta. We loved our stay here. Location is great, an easy walk from the train station, and lots of food options around. (We loved Nonohana (ののはな), an izakaya just around the corner. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with some of the regulars - the food here is delicious and very affordable.) The hotel has an awesome natural hot spring, including an open air one, so I bathed while watching the snow fall - it was pretty magical. Then they offer free ice creams, a manga library, and free massage chairs - it doesn't get much better. The buffet breakfast was expensive but we had a lot of fun trying different dishes - this is a great way to try the famous Aomori apple if you're in a rush. We had apple juice, apple pie and apple jelly!

I enjoyed the rooms very much, I wish I could have stayed longer and I still think about returning again. The room was so cozy and modern, bed so comfy. I could live there. It’s so close to stores, the town and connected to train station. I would rate 10 plus. It’s so nice.

津軽三味線と民謡 繭子の宿 ligt in Hachinohe, op 14 km van Konakano, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. Staying in a traditional Japanese home with free live shamisen and minyo performances was an amazing experience. For a extra cost, she taught my wife the Tsugarujamisen and me how to make the delicious Nambu delicacy, Senbei-jiru. The premises were immaculate the freshly replaced tatami rooms aromatic. It is a little bit off the beaten path but easy enough to find with GPS.

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN is ideaal gelegen in de wijk Owani Onsen in Ōwani, en is gelegen op 43 km van Archeologische vindplaats Sannai-Maruyama, 17 km van kasteel van Hirosaki en 42 km van Sukayu... This place is an absolute gem. The staff, food, location and room were all exceptional. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone wanting an exceptional ryokan experience. The onsen was also fantastic and the warmest one we came across in our month in Japan.

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

A very comfortable and well-equipped unit with a helpful and responsive host. Walking distance to a large supermarket. We really appreciated the extra set of towels given the duration of our stay, and the apple tea was a thoughtful gesture.
