Ideally located in the centre of Takayama, Relax Hotel Takayama Station offers buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This 4-star hotel offers a concierge service and luggage storage space. The property is non-smoking and is set 100 metres from Takayama Station. The room that we stayed in was spacious. The bathroom was big and has a jacuzzi. They have a kitchen and dining table. The beds are big and we love the extra room with a tent and a projector for kids to play. Breakfast was also included. It’s also next to the train/bus station.

The common spaces are very spacious and cozy. The location is great to walk to the center.

We serve traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners and Japanese breakfasts (advance reservations required). Western-style breakfasts are available upon request, provided you notify us at least two days prior to your stay. Our experience ar Ryokan Asunaro was exquisite. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted kindly and helped with our bags. Everything was explained clearly and we even got to choose our own kimono’s to wear inside the Ryokan during our stay! The room was spacious, very clean and nice and warm. The tatami beds were very comfortable to our surprise (first experience with them) and we enjoyed the onsens as well (seperate for men and women). The Ryokan itself was so cosy, it felt like walking into a home. When checking out, we were also helped with shipping our bags to our final destination, which helped a lot. Highly recommend Ryokan Asunaro!

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. All guest rooms are fitted with wooden furnishings, providing a perfect haven for relaxation. The property offers free pick-up shuttles from Hirayu Onsen bus stop, a 3-mintue ride away. We had a room with a private onsen and there’s also an open air private onsen in the resort. It was so completely relaxing, the whole place is so clean and the staff were amazing. It was a perfect place to unwind after a busy stay in Tokyo.
